Flow cytometry is a powerful quantitative technique for analyzing cell phenotypes or certain microparticles. This workshop will introduce you to the basics of conventional cytometry, then compare this technology to spectral cytometry, an innovation that appeared on the market about ten years ago, which allows for an increase in the number of markers analyzed through optimal processing of the light spectrum. U1141 recently acquired a latest-generation spectral cytometer, the ID7000Ô Sony Biotechnology, whose technical characteristics, features, and performance will be discussed and illustrated with excerpts from key publications and practical examples.
