HumBO – Cell Culture, Characterization and Maintenance
HumBO has developed tools and procedures to maintain hiPS cells in feeder-free media, to assess pluripotency through immunofluorescence, RT-qPCR and EB formation assay. hiPS cells genomic stability is also regularly tested by caryotyping and CGH array.
hiPSCs phenotyping
Pluripotent stem cells express KLF4, SOX2, OCT4, NANOG as well as the surface antigenes SSEA-4 and TRA-1-81. hiPS cells can aggregate in suspension into embryoid bodies capable of differentiating into endodermal, mesodermal or ectodermal derivatives. The genomic integrity of hiPSCs is tested by karyotyping and CGH.
